NCCU's Holmes named program manager for USA Volleyball CNT

NEW ORLEANS, La. – North Carolina Central University head volleyball coach Nicki Homes will be leading the U.S. Collegiate National Team (CNT) at the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships from June 26-29 in the role of program manager as unveiled on the TeamUSA.org website.

“Having the opportunity to represent NCCU volleyball with the USA Collegiate National Team is a blessing,” said Holmes. “Being able to work with some of the top collegiate athletes and coaches will help me grow as a coach and I will be able to bring back a lot of knowledge back to our student-athletes.”

The CNT-New Orleans group consists of 36 NCAA Division I volleyball players that have at least one year of collegiate eligibility remaining. The CNT program is considered a second tryout for the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Coach Holmes will be working with a staff of two master coaches, six coaches, two technical assistants and one operations coordinator.

The U.S. Collegiate National Team program will be represented at the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships for a fourth consecutive year.
