Three former NCCU players will be featured at Gotham Hoops Classic

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Emanuel Chapman, Alfonzo Houston and Jordan Parks will all reunite on Saturday, May 30 as they will be featured in the 2015 Gotham Hoops Classic at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

All three players were teammates on the 2013-14 team that won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championship, and advanced to the Division I NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

Chapman has gone on to sign a professional contract with SKP Banska Bystrica of the Slovakian Basketball League.

The Gotham Hoops Classic showcases standout players to local fans, media and professional personnel from leagues around the world, and event alumni played in leagues in 14 different countries during the 2014-15 season.

Also featuring this year from the MEAC are Malik Thomas from Norfolk State, Arnold Fripp, Jahvari Josiah and Michael Murray who also competed last year, all from Coppin State.  Andre Armstrong from Coppin State also competed in the event in the past.

The event will be held at the Center for Recreation and Sports at Adelphi University.
