DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Volleyball assistant coach Brittany Williams has been selected to attend the 2015 USOC Ethnic Minority Women in Coaching Leadership Conference to be held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The conference takes place May 27-29.

The goal is to arm ethnic and minority women with information to assist them in advancing up the coaching ladder and increase the pipeline of female coaches in head coaching positions.

“I am really excited about this opportunity afforded to me, and I hope to learn a lot in order to help me continue growing in my profession,” said Williams. “I am equally grateful to Bethune-Cookman University in helping me to achieve and accomplish objects of this magnitude.”

The conference is supported by a matching grant from the NCAA to provide professional and leadership development to ethnic and minority women.

This year’s programming has expanded by combining some general sessions with the Finding Leaders Among Minorities Everywhere (FLAME) program. The programming will be geared toward leadership and helping minority women to not only succeed in their careers as coaches, but to strive to higher levels of greatness.
