Muamba Earns NCCU's Lone Win in 6-1 Loss to Ball State
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Junior Aissa Muamba posted a straight-set win for North Carolina Central University in a 6-1 neutral site loss to Ball State University at UNC’s Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Muamba picked up her team-high sixth singles win for the Lady Eagles by dominating her match in the third position in the lineup. The two-time All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honoree coasted to the victory by matching set scores of 6-2.
The Lady Eagles, who slipped to 2-6 on the season, are next slated to host Hampton University at the NCCU Tennis Courts on Friday, March 6 with start time to be determined.

B-CU Tennis Tuesday
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman won its second straight match with a 6-1 victory over Mount St. Mary's Tuesday at City Island Tennis Center.
Walid Gtari, Kevin Deligny and Gilbert Rotich each won at both singles as the Wildcats improved to 3-5.
Mina Matsuba and Gaby Chinchilla each won their fifth singles match of the season Tuesday as
Bethune-Cookman downed Mount St. Mary's 7-0 at City Island Tennis Center.
The Lady Wildcats (4-5) won for the third time in their last four matches.
Matsuba, partnered with Alejandra Vidal for the first time this season, also claimed her fifth win in doubles on the year.
Kajiwara, Sablina, Vidal and Ancia Ifill also won for Bethune-Cookman, which hosts Eastern Kentucky and Hampton Sunday. The Men's Tennis Team will host Detroit Thursday.
