NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton’s Margaret Wilkins was selected Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Teammate Allyson Babinsack earned the Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors.
Wilkins (SS, 5-10, Sr., Tustin, Calif.) registered a .591 batting average (13-for-22), including one double, with 10 runs scored and four RBI against Liberty, North Carolina A&T State and Delaware State. Defensively, she recorded seven putouts and nine assists.
Babinsack (P, 5-8, Fr., Hampton, Va.) recorded an ERA of 0.79 in 26.2 innings pitched, with 23 strikeouts and three runs allowed in five games. Offensively, she went 7-for-19, including two home runs, with 10 RBIs and four runs scored.

Ashley Eichenlaub (SSU) allowed four runs in a complete-game victory over Florida A&M.

Raven Gray (NCAT) registered two hits, including one triple, in a 10-2 victory over South Carolina State.
Adrienne Guerra (UMES) struck out five and allowed two runs in 6.0 innings pitched against Maryland Baltimore County.
Amber Hallman (SSU) tallied three hits, including one home run and one double, in an 11-7 victory over Florida A&M.
Brianna Harris (SSU) went 5-for-12, including one double, with three runs and two RBI in a three-game series against Florida A&M.
Morgan King (UMES) belted one home run, with two RBI, against Maryland Baltimore County.
Janika May (NCAT) scattered seven hits, with four strikeouts, in a 7-2 complete-game victory over South Carolina State.
Marissa Marrero (NSU) earned two victories, with five strikeouts, in 10.2 innings pitched against Howard.
