B-CU Men's Tennis

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman won its fifth straight match Wednesday with a 7-0 victory over UConn at City Island Tennis Center.

Kevin Deligny extend his winning streaks in both singles and doubles to four, and Diego Garvito took his fourth consecutive singles victory as the Wildcats improved to 11-8. UConn dropped to 2-11. Walid Gtari, Greg Almeida, Alvarro Berrera  and Pablo Lopez added singles victories to complete the Wildcats sweep.

Bethune-Cookman hosts Oral Roberts Thursday morning.

B-CU Women's Tennis

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Mina Matsuba and Gaby Chinchilla each won their 11th singles match of the season Wednesday as Bethune-Cookman downed defending Northeast Conference champion Fairleigh Dickinson 5-2.

The Lady Wildcats (12-5) extended their winning streak to nine while the Knights, an 2014 NCAA tournament team, fell to 0-8. Maria Sablina won her fourth straight singles matches, while the tandems of Matsuba/Sablina and Chinchilla/Chinatsu Kajiwara combined to help Bethune-Cookman go undefeated for the fifth straight match.

The Lady Wildcats meet Fordham Friday.
