NORFOLK, Va. – Alina Moriarty of Norfolk State was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. North Carolina A&T State’s Raven Gray earned Rookie of the Week honors, while North Carolina Central’s Dominique Wilson was named the Pitcher of the Week.
Moriarty (OF, 5-3, Sr., Chesapeake, Va.) totaled 10 hits, six RBIs, six runs scored, three home runs and two doubles in seven games. She belted a home run, one double and drove in two in a 6-4 loss to Rider.
Wilson (RHP, 6-1, Jr., Mooresville, N.C) recorded a 2.80 ERA against Norfolk State, Notre Dame and Elon. She pitched a complete-game, five-hitter, with three strikeouts, in a 1-0 victory over Norfolk State.
Gray (OF, 5-6, Fr., Forest City, N.C.) went 6-of-13 (.462), with six hits, including two triples and a pair of walks against Drexel, Maryland Eastern Shore and Norfolk State. She went 4-of-4, with one triple, and scored twice in a 5-4 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore.

Alejandra Barcenas (NCAT) went 3-of-4, with three runs scored, in a 9-3 victory over Norfolk State.
Vanessa Gomez (UMES) registered two hits and scored twice in a 5-4 extra-inning loss to North Carolina A&T State.
Tasharra Hill (UMES) went 2-for-3, including one double, in a 5-4 loss to North Carolina A&T State.
Megan Przeslawski (NSU) batted .667 (2-for-3), with three RBIs and two runs scored in an 11-6 win over Drexel.
Abria Tinsley (UMES) pitched four innings and scattered three hits in a 5-4 loss against North Carolina A&T State.
