Bethune-Cookman Downs North Carolina A&T
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Brandon Stewart's 21 points led five Bethune-Cookman players in double figures as the Wildcats finally took a home win with a 78-56 decision over North Carolina A&T Monday night.
The Wildcats (9-17 overall, 5-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) had dropped their last six games in Moore Gym, the third-longest home losing streak in the nation entering the game. The win also gave them their first home conference victory/
Stewart, a senior, hit his first three attempts from three-point range and was 8-9 for the line for the Wildcats, who got a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double from Quintin Brewer, 12 points from Mikel Trapp, 11 points and seven assists from Ricky Johnson and 10 from Denzel Dulin.

NCCU Breezes Past FAMU For 30th Consecutive Win Over MEAC
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The North Carolina Central University men’s basketball program captured its 30th straight win over a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponent by breezing past Florida A&M, 73-48, on Monday night inside the Lawson Center.
NCCU improves its record to 20-6 overall and 12-0 in the MEAC. This is the third consecutive season the Eagles have reached the 20-win benchmark, which has only happened two other times in program history – 1987-90 under coach Michael Bernard and 1948-51 with coach John McLendon at the helm.
NCCU returns to McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 21 to play Morgan State at 4 p.m., with the Eagles riding the nation’s third-longest home court win streak at 32 victories in-a-row.

Hawks Slay Bison For Series Split, 71-60
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Men’s Basketball Team notched a critical victory over a fellow MEAC contender with a 71-60 final score over the Howard Bison. UMES (15-13, 8-5) avenged a loss to the Bison in Washington D.C. by coming away with a series split with Monday's win in Princess Anne.
With the victory, the Hawks are now 15-13 overall and one win away from clinching their first winning record since the 1993-94 season. The game also proved crucial for the Hawks' hopes in securing a top-four seed in the MEAC Tournament. The victory improved UMES' league mark to 8-5, leapfrogging the Howard Bison in the process. Meanwhile, Coppin State upset Delaware State in Dover, allowing the Hawks to overtake the Hornets for third place.
UMES must now head on the road to face South Carolina State in Orangeburg, S.C. on Saturday evening. Tip-off against the Bulldogs is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. following the conclusion of the women's basketball game. Darden Helps Pirates Roll Past Morgan State
BALTIMORE, Md. – Behind a career effort from junior guard Brian Darden, the Hampton University men’s basketball team stormed past Morgan State 93-65 in front of a national ESPNU audience Monday night in Hill Field House.
The Pirates, with their third straight win, improved to 11-14 overall and 7-5 in the MEAC.
Darden scored a career-high 23 points, going 7-for-8 from the floor and hitting six of his seven 3-pointers. Junior guard Reginald Johnson added 17 points, while junior guard Deron Powers chipped in 10 points.
The Pirates will return home on Saturday to take on Delaware State at 6 p.m.
