NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune-Cookman junior Kendra Cooper was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Najai Pollard, of Delaware State, earned Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Cooper (G, 5-6, Jr., Spring, Texas) shot 57-percent (8-of-14) from the floor and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line in a 65-49 win over Georgia Southern. She finished with 31 points, including six 3-pointers, six rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot and two steals in 36 minutes of action.
Pollard (F, 5-10, Fr., Richmond, Va.) registered a double-double of 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in an 88-63 victory over Longwood. Also, she added a career-high five blocks, two steals and one assist in the win.

Mikah Aldridge (DSU) tallied 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and one steal in an 88-63 win over Longwood.
Ciani Byrom (UMES) posted 12 points, five boards, five assists and one steal against Old Dominion.
Kenyata Hendrix (SSU) finished with 18 points, including five 3-pointers, against Oklahoma State.
Taryana Kelly (UMES) recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, and one steal, against Old Dominion.
