NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore senior Petra Jerabkova and Morgan State senior Carmen Fernandez were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Co-Players of the Week. North Carolina Central’s Whitney White earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced today.
Jerabkova (S, 5-8, Sr., Prague, Czech Republic) averaged a double-double of 32.5 assists and 10.5 digs in conference matches against Norfolk State and Delaware State. She finished with 33 assists, 14 digs and six service aces in a 3-0 win against DSU.
Fernandez (S, 5-9, Sr., Bayamon, Puerto Rico) tallied 92 assists and nine digs against Howard and Coppin State. She finished with a career- and conference-high 60 assists, with four digs, in a 3-2 win over CSU.
White (MB, 6-4, Fr., South Boston, Va.) totaled 23 kills and 13 blocks against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman. She set a school record with 11 blocks, along with 13 kills, in a 3-1 victory over FAMU.

Valentina Carrasco (FAMU) registered 27 digs, two assists and two service aces in a 3-1 win over North Carolina A&T State.
Cindy Okpegbue (CSU) recorded 26 kills, to become the all-time school leader in kills, in a 3-2 loss to Morgan State.
Zuzana Ondruskova (UMES) notched 11 kills, nine digs and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Norfolk State.
Hazel Ortiz-Rosado (B-CU) totaled 59 assists, 23 digs, six kills and two service aces in wins against North Carolina A&T State and North Carolina Central.
Dominique Parker (NSU) hit .405, with 16 kills and two blocks, against Maryland Eastern Shore and Hampton.
Samantha Polk (CSU) finished with a career-best 18 kills and six digs in a 3-2 loss to Morgan State.
Reeana Richardson (HAM) posted 20 kills and eight digs, in a four-set win, over Delaware State.
Kelly Rossip (NCCU) recorded a season-high 17 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 loss to Bethune-Cookman.
Pamela Soriano (FAMU) registered a double-double of 22 digs and 20 kills, in a four-set win, over North Carolina A&T State.
