MEAC ANNOUNCES MEN?S AND WOMEN?S CROSS COUNTRY WEEKLY HONORS

NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore junior Khalil Rmidi Kinini and Hampton senior Ce’aira Brown were selected the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced today.

Rmidi Kinini (Jr., Malaga, Spain) earned his third victory of the season at the 8K DSU Farm Run Invitational. He completed the event in 25:16.40 to help the Hawks claim the win.

Brown (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa.) captured first, with a personal-best time of 17:20.40, at the 5K Virginia Union Panther Classic. This was the second individual win of the season and aided the Lady Pirates to a second-place finish.

 

Other Top Performers: 

Ronaldo Ball (CSU) recorded a career-best time of 27:27.26 at the DSU Farm Run Invitational to finish ninth.

Kadeem Curtis (CSU) ran a time of 20:48.94 to place ninth at the DSU Farm Run Invitational.

Stanley Davis (HAM) won the NCCU Eagle Classic with a personal-best time of 27:28.87.

Haileyesus Demsie (NSU) registered a time of 26:21.25 to finish second at the DSU Farm Run Invitational.

Miranda Green (NCAT) completed the 5K Gene Mullin Invitational course in a time of 21:12.09.

Jennaya Hield (UMES) placed second, with a time of 19:32.62, at the DSU Farm Run Invitational.

Hakeem Mustafaa (NCAT) recorded a time of 16:17.66 on the 5K Gene Mullin Invitational course to place ninth.

Rachel Webb (NSU) finished fourth at the DSU Farm Run Invitational, with a time of 19:47.84.
