NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune-Cookman sophomore Rakaya Neely was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week. Maryland Eastern Shore’s Zuzana Ondruskova earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced today.
Neely (MH, 6-1, So., Lake Wales, Fla.) hit .647 with no attacking errors in conference wins over North Carolina A&T State and North Carolina Central. She finished with 11 kills and eight blocks in a four-set win over the Aggies.
Ondruskova (OH, 5-10, Fr. Bilovec, Czech Republic) totaled 33 kills, 15 digs, five service aces and three blocks in conference matches against Hampton, Morgan State and Coppin State. She led the Lady Hawks with 16 kills and four digs in a 3-0 victory over Coppin State.

Kelsey Murphy (NCCU) posted a double-double of 13 kills and 10 digs in a three-set loss to Bethune-Cookman.
Cindy Okpegbue (CSU) tallied 18 kills, with a .459 hitting percentage, seven digs and three blocks in a loss to Maryland Eastern Shore.
Dominique Parker (NSU) finished with nine kills and two blocks in a loss to Howard.
Alana Polk (UMES) totaled 21 kills and 11 blocks in conference wins over Hampton, Morgan State and Coppin State.
Pamela Soriano (FAMU) notched a double-double of 17 digs and 11 kills, with two assists, in a 3-0 victory over North Carolina A&T State.
Whitney White (NCCU) recorded a season-high eight kills and four blocks in a loss to Florida A&M.
