Commissioner Dennis Thomas statement on the death of Nelson Townsend:

Nelson Townsend was a pillar in the profession and within his community.  He served the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference exceedingly well and was a respected professional in the collegiate athletic community.   My heartfelt condolences go out to his lovely wife Diane and the Townsend family.
