B-CU Wins Opener

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Senior Gilbert Rotich led three Bethune-Cookman players who posted singles and doubles victories in the Wildcats’ 5-2 season opener triumph against Warner Friday at City Island Tennis Center.

Rotich posted a victory at No. 6 singles and combined with freshman Alexander Chepik to take No. 1 doubles as the Wildcats took their first opening day under Head Coach Tim Pleasant.

Senior Diego Garavito and sophomore Walid Gtari also were double winners Fridays as Bethune-Cookman  enjoyed a sweep of all three doubles matches. Alvaro Berrera also won for the Wildcats at No. 3 singles.
