The North Carolina Central University men’s basketball team continues to garner national attention, as the Eagles have earned a spot in the CollegeInsider.com Men’s Basketball Mid-Major Top-25 poll.
NCCU enters the Mid-Major Top-25 at No. 24, garnering 71 votes through games played on Sunday, Jan. 25. At the time, the Eagles held an overall record of 15-5 with a nine-game winning streak. They added a victory to that tally by defeating Delaware State, 55-54, on Monday night.
Under the direction of sixth-year head coach LeVelle Moton, NCCU boasts the nation’s third-longest home win streak at 31 in-a-row. The Eagles have also beaten 26 straight MEAC teams, and have a 42-3 record against league foes since the start of 2012-13 season.
