NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore senior Mariana Alvarado was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Alvarado (Sr., Leon, Mexico) finished first to claim All-Tournament and MVP honors at the Kuztown Invitational after she matched a career-high pinfall of 279 in a win over Morgan State. Alvarado rolled a perfect 300-Baker game in a 4-0 win against Wisconsin-Whitewater to give the Hawks a third-place finish.
Other Top Performers:
Rebecca Gomez (B-CU) recorded 1,033 total pins in traditional play, averaging 206.6, at the Kutztown Invitational.
Emily Strombeck (NCAT) placed eighth with a 216.6 pinfall average at the Kutztown Invitational.
Kelsea Yarbrough (NSU) finished the Kutztown Invitational with a 195.6 average pinfall.
