NORFOLK, Va., September 3, 2014 – Bethune-Cookman senior Ricy Brown and Morgan State freshman Karen Escobedo were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Brown (Sr., Clearwater, Fla.) collected top honors for the Wildcats at the Hatter Invitational with a 14th-place finish. Brown completed the 8K meet with a time of 27:46.64.
Escobedo (Fr., Silver Spring, Md.) placed second at the Baltimore Metro Meet with a time of 19:03.74. Escobedo’s time guided Morgan State to a second-place finish among Division I participants.
Other Top Performers:
Nyajock Pan (B-CU) recorded the highest finish (9th) for the Lady Wildcats with a time of 20:20.50 at the Hatter Invitational.
