NCAT Cross Country Shows Its Improvement
CULLOWHEE – North Carolina A&T cross country teams showed off some of their improvements in their respective season opening meets Friday night at the Western Carolina Invitational.
The Aggie women had a runner finish in the top-10 individually, a feat they did not accomplish in their last trip to Cullowhee.
Freshman Miranda Green paced the women in the 2-mile run with a time of 11:59.91 for a 10th place finish.
On the women’s side sophomore Daniqua Dye placed 33rd overall at 12:56.52. Freshman Imani Colman placed 44th with a time 13:31.07.

Escobedo Leads Lady Bears To Second-Place Finish At Baltimore Metro Meet
COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (August 29, 2014)-The Morgan State women’s cross country team began the 2014 season with a second-place finish amongst Division I competition in the annual Baltimore Metro Meet on Friday at Oregon Ridge Park.
Johns Hopkins, McDaniel, Stevenson and Goucher also competed in the meet at the Division II and III levels.
Morgan State, which scored 38 points, had three runners place in the top 10. Freshman Karen Escobedo led the Lady Bears with a time of 19:03.74 to finish third. Ishakeema Swain finished fifth with a time of 19:54.95, while Jada Boyd placed seventh with a time of 20:02.36.
Host Towson defended its team title, winning the event with a total of 21 points. The Tigers had seven runners finish in the top 10, including four in the top five. Towson senior Elizabeth Tauber won her second consecutive Baltimore Metro Meet individual title, finishing in a winning time of 18:26.44.
