HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - Former University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball player Tim Parham was recently named the 2013-14 National Basketball League of Canada Center of the Year. He attained the award as a member of the Halifax Rainmen in the NBL, where he was named to the All-NBC Second Team and was a member of the league's All-Star game in April.
The center ranked fourth in field goal percentage (55.4%) and was seventh in blocks-per-game (1.1). He averaged 10.6 ppg and brought down 10.8 ppg. The 6'9 player also snagged a game-high 17 rebounds and chipped in with 15 points for the Atlantic Division in the Canadian NBL All-Star game. He broke the regular season rebounding record this year after posting 429 boards.
The 2013-14 season was Parham's eighth in professional basketball.
