DOVER, Del. --- Delaware State University athletes and coaches made a fashion statement to help raise awareness about violence against women, along with all domestic and sexual abuse.

Dozens of Hornet men, along with their female counterparts, strutted along the main campus walkway in red high heels this week to support “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” an event sponsored The DSU Division of Student Affairs Health Committee, and the Healthy Hornets Program. 

The Delaware State University Student Athlete Advisory Committee helped promote the event by encouraging all Hornet teams to participate.

The DSU event was in support of the National Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education’s “Enough is Enough” campaign to promote peace and reduce violence.
