Weather halts baseball and softball games

Delaware State baseball and softball postpone games

DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State/University of Delaware baseball contest scheduled for Wednesday (Mar. 5) at DSU's Soldier Field has been postponed. The teams are working to re-schedule the game.

The Hornets are 5-2 this season. They are scheduled to return to action at home this Saturday for a doubleheader against St. Peter’s. Game one begins at noon. The teams will wrap up the series with a single game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Delaware State’s Wednesday softball doubleheader for the Delaware State softball team against the Maryland Terrapins has been postponed for a later date to be determined.

Later this week (March 7 – 9), the Hornets are scheduled to take part in the Towson Classic against Canisius (twice), Albany and Towson.

Weather impacts Coppin State softball and baseball schedules

BALTIMORE – There have been a few schedule adjustments by the Coppin State University baseball and softball teams that impacted games for this week.

The Coppin State softball home games scheduled for Thursday against Central Connecticut State on Thursday and the first day of the Coppin Classic on Friday have been cancelled.

As of now, the games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday’s softball tournament will be played.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s scheduled Coppin State baseball game at Richmond has been postponed due to inclement weather. A make-up date for the game will be announced later this week.

Maryland Eastern Shore postpones contests at Mount Saint Mary’s
 
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team has announced that its games against Mount St. Mary's that were originally scheduled to be played tomorrow, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5, have been rescheduled. The contests will now be moved to next week, where the Hawks will head to Emmitsburg, Md. to play against The Mount on March 11-12.
 
The Hawks will take the field next this Saturday, when the men host NJIT for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. UMES will also play the Highlanders for second doubleheader on Sunday as the teams will play four games in two days.
