NORFOLK, Va. – Florida A&M freshman Denise Anderson earned the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday. Bethune-Cookman’s Bailey Conner was selected Pitcher of the Week.
Anderson (C, Fr., Dothan, Ala.) combined to go 4-for-9 with seven RBIs and a home run against Savannah State and Florida State. Anderson drove in five runs, including a three-run home run, in a 15-1 win over Savannah State.
Conner (P, Fr., Encinitas, Calif.) pitched 14 innings in a pair of 1-0 victories over North Carolina Central. Conner registered six strikeouts and scattered eight hits in the doubleheader sweep of the Lady Eagles.

Sabrina Edmonds (NCAT) registered two hits, including a double, in a 6-5 win against South Carolina State.
