Weather Halts Baseball and Softball contests at Norfolk State

 NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State’s home softball and baseball games scheduled for Tuesday will not be played due to inclement weather and field conditions.

The NSU softball team was slated to host North Carolina Central for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. Those games have been postponed and the teams will attempt to make them up later in the season. No makeup date has been set as of Monday afternoon.

The Spartan baseball team was scheduled to host Lafayette at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The game will not be made up. As of Monday afternoon, Wednesday’s home NSU baseball game against North Carolina Central, also scheduled for a 3 p.m. start, is still on.

Delaware State baseball game with George Washington cancelled

DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State/George Washington contest scheduled for Tuesday (Mar. 18) at Soldier Field has been cancelled. No make-up date has been scheduled.

The Hornets (10-5; 2-1 MEAC) are scheduled to play at Navy on Wednesday (Mar. 19) at 3:00 p.m.

DSU returns home this weekend for a MEAC North series against Coppin State. The Hornets and Eagles are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday (Mar. 22) beginning at noon. The series concludes with a single game on Sunday (Mar. 23) at 1 p.m.
