NORFOLK, Va. – Jeremy Ingram of North Carolina Central was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Hakeem Baxter of Maryland Eastern Shore earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Hampton’s Du’Vaughn Maxwell was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Ingram (G, 6-3, 175, Sr., Charlotte, N.C.) recorded back-to-back double-digit performances of 20 and 16 points in wins over Morgan State and Howard. He shot 42-percent from long range (3-of-7) and totaled five rebounds, one assist and four steals in the wins. He also averaged 31.5 minutes in the two games, while playing the entire 40 minutes in the victory over MSU.
Baxter (G, 6-2, 170, Fr., Philadelphia, Pa.) scored 26 points, connecting on 54-percent (6-of-11) from the field and 92-percent from the charity stripe (12-of-13), with two rebounds and two assists in a 67-60 win over North Carolina A&T.
Maxwell (F, 6-7, 215, Sr., Manhattan, N.Y.) guided the Pirates defensive efforts with a combined 11 rebounds, seven blocks and four steals in a pair of conference wins over South Carolina State and Coppin State. Offensively, he contributed 22 points and two assists in the two wins.

Rashid Gaston (NSU) hauled down 13 rebounds, with seven points, and one block, against Savannah State.
Kendall Gray (DSU) recorded a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, with two assists, four blocks and one steal against NJIT.
Reggie Lewis (FAMU) scored 20 points and grabbed three rebounds with one steal against South Carolina State.
Jervon Pressley (Hampton) averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in a pair of wins over South Carolina State and Coppin State.
Pendarvis Williams (NSU) recorded 21 points, four rebounds and two steals, playing the entire game, against Miami.
