Substantial rain halts NCCU Softball Eagle Challenge

DURHAM, N.C. – After cancelling the original home-opening weekend for the North Carolina Central University softball team a week ago duo to snow, seven days later and nearly 30 degrees warmer, game officials were forced to call off the rescheduled Eagle Challenge once again due to a heavy amount of rain that hit the Durham area Friday morning.


NCCU's two-day tournament (Feb.22-23) was scheduled to host Coppin State and Manhattan College at the Parkwood Athletic Field in Durham.
 
The contests will not be rescheduled at this time.

The Lady Eagles (0-4) will return to the field on Tuesday, Feb. 25 as they host the Campbell Camels in doubleheader action starting at 3 p.m. in Durham, at the Parkwood Athletic Field.
