NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton senior Vendula Strakova was selected as Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Maryland Eastern Shore's Alana Polk garnered Rookie of the Week honors.

Strakova (RS, 6-0, Sr., Brno, Czech Republic) wrapped up the regular season by posting 16 kills and seven digs, while hitting .448 in a three-set victory over Delaware State.

Polk (MB, 6-2, Fr., Houston, Texas) registered nine kills and a pair of blocks in a four-set loss to East Carolina.

Jasmine Jackson (DSU) recorded 14 kills and five digs against Hampton.
