NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton senior Vendula Strakova and Florida A&M’s Pamela Soriano repeated as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Strakova (RS, 6-0, Sr. Brno, Czech Republic) registered a double-double of 22 kills and 14 digs and six service aces in 3-1 victory over Coppin State. Strakova also added 19 kills and five service aces in a 3-0 win over Morgan State.
Soriano (OH, 5-10, R-Fr. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) totaled 52 kills and 21 digs for the week. In a non-conference loss to North Florida, she logged a double- double performance of 26 kills and 11 digs.

Kirby Anderson (SCSU) registered 10 kills against Bethune-Cookman.
Angie Darcus (NSU) totaled 53 assists against Morgan State and Coppin State.
Khalia Donaldson (HOW) registered 31 kills and 17 digs in wins against Maryland Eastern Shore and Delaware State.
Maya Horner (CSU) recorded a career-high seven blocks against Norfolk State.
Kendra Ireigbe (CSU) logged 24 kills against Hampton and Norfolk State.
Evely Macedo (MSU) tallied 10 kills in a loss 3-0 loss against Hampton.
Kelsey Murphy (NCCU) registered 21 kills in a win against North Carolina A&T.
Rakaya Neely (B-CU) recorded 12 kills in a 3-0 victory against Savannah State.
Delicia Pierre (B-CU) totaled a season-high 21 kills in a 3-0 win against South Carolina State.
Paige Phillips (NCCU) tallied 18 assists and 13 digs in a win against North Carolina A&T.
Erica Pritchett (SCSU) registered 18 kills in a 3-0 loss to Bethune-Cookman.
