NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore freshman Nelson Kimutai was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Male Cross Country Performer of the Week. Maryland Eastern Shore sophomore Barbora Blahutova and Florida A&M junior Effiey Kosgei earned the Female Co-Performer of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Kimutai (Fr., Eldoret, Kenya) won his first collegiate race with a time of 26:45.8 at the 8K Delaware Cross Country Invitational. His first-place finish helped the Hawks win their fifth straight meet.
Blahutova (So., Slavkov, Czech Republic) extended her winning streak to four with a time of 18:33.7 at the 5K Delaware Cross Country Invitational. Her first-place finish propelled the Lady Hawks to their third straight win.
Kosgei (Jr., Eldoret, Kenya) logged a personal-best time of 22:08 at the 6K Berry College Invitational. Her third-place finish helped the Lady Rattlers secure a win.

Haileyesus Demsie (NSU) clocked a season-best time of 26:35.2 at the 8K Christopher Newport Invitational.
Dieumy Duclos (FAMU) ran a time of 17:07.49 at the 5K Frontrunners Invitational.
Miranda Green (NCAT) ran a time of 19:42 at the 5K Delaware State Invitational.
Saeed Jones (NCAT) finished second at the 8k Delaware State Invitational with a time of 26:51.
Rachel Webb (NSU) registered a time of 24:12.8 at the Christopher Newport Invitational.
