NASHVILLE---Defending NCAA champion Maryland-Eastern Shore tops the final regular season National Ten Pin Coaches Association poll, the first time this season it has held the top position.
The Lady Hawks (111-20; 724 points) won the Columbia 300 Music City Invitational and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship during March to push past Nebraska (69-22; 694 points), which fell into second place in the voting after a fourth place finish at the 29-team Music City.
The Hawks are looking for their third straight NCAA title and fourth overall, which would give them the most titles in the history of the sport. They are coming off of their sixth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship in school history.
