MEAC Announces Bowling Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va. - University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Anggie Ramirez was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.  

Ramirez (5-7, Sr., Bogota, Columbia) earned All-Tournament Team and Tournament MVP honors at the Prairie View A&M Invitational last weekend. Ramirez averaged a 215.2 to lead the field while knocking down 1,076 total pinfall. Against Bethune-Cookman, Ramirez bowled a career-high 279. As a team, the Lady Hawks earned a second-place finish with a 3-2 record in Team games and a 4-4 record in Baker games.

Other Top Performers:

Thea Aspiras (NSU) finished fourth among individual competitors, averaging a 209.6 and 1,048 total pinfall at the Prairie View A&M Invitational.

Rachel Moore (B-CU) bowled the highest score of the weekend for the Lady Wildcats with a 237 against Maryland Eastern Shore at the Prairie View A&M Invitational.
