Olesya Palko were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's and Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week the conference announced on Wednesday.
Aissa Muamba of North Carolina Central received Women's Rookie of the Week honors, while
Dzmitry Zyhmantovich of Norfolk State was named Men's Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Kante (Sr., Nairobi, Kenya) was 3-0 in singles and doubles action against Mercer and Southern Mississippi last week. He won a three set decision against Mercer's Mohanty Arnav and followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Southern Mississippi's Matt Frost. He also teamed with Takura Happy and won the doubles point against Mercer at the number one position.
Palko (Sr., Kyiv, Ukraine) was undefeated in singles and doubles play last week against Norfolk State and Methodist. In a conference match against Norfolk State, she won 6-3, 6-2 over Andrea Macchiavello and followed with a victory against Kathrine Meindl of Methodist (6-1, 6-1).
Muamba (Fr., Laval, Canada) was 4-0 against Norfolk State and Methodist last week. She won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot against Norfolk State's Laura Gutierrez and captured the 6-0, 6-1 victory against Methodist's Isabelle Graf. She also teamed with Olesya Palko to win the doubles points 8-2 against Norfolk State and 8-2 against Methodist, respectively.
Zyhmantovich (Fr., Minsk, Belarus) was 2-0 in a conference match against North Carolina Central last week. He captured the number four singles point 6-0, 6-0 and won the doubles point 8-2.

Rebecca Graff (NSU) won the No. 6 singles point 6-0, 6-1 against North Carolina Central.
Peter Ramstromer-Pello (NSU) was 1-1 last week with a doubles win (8-3) and a loss at the number four singles position against North Carolina Central.
Victoria Williams (FAMU) was 2-0 in singles action against Hampton and Florida Atlantic last week.
