Taylor McCoy earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors in softball, the conference announced on Wednesday. Morgan State's
Jordan Eades was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Savannah State's
Torrian Wright earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
McCoy (P/1B, 5-11, Fr., Riverview, Fla.) batted .500 (5-for-10) with one home run and five RBI to aid the Lady Pirates to a 3-1 mark last week. In a 5-1 win against Temple McCoy was 2-for-4 from the plate with two RBI, six putouts and one assist. Defensively, she recorded 16 putouts and one assist.
Eades (P, 5-5, Jr., Reistertown, Md.) was 1-1 last week with a 0.48 ERA in 14.2 innings in the circle. She appeared in three games and surrendered four runs on 10 hits, with eight walks and 14 strikeouts. In a 3-0 win over Tennessee State Eades tallied a season-high six strikeouts in 7.0 innings.
Wright (P, 5-10, Sr., Dublin, Ohio) led the Lady Tigers with a .462 batting average on six hits in 13 appearances in five games. In two victories against Mercer, Wright batted .667 in each contest and totaled two RBI and one home run. For the week, the rookie posted one double, two home runs and four RBI. She added one putout and one assist.

Melissa Berouty (B-CU) was 2-for-4 with one RBI against Dartmouth.
Amber Hallman (SSU) was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a home run against Florida International.
Madison Hedderly (SSU) pitched 21.4 innings with a 2.94 ERA and posted a 2-2 mark last week.
Jailynn Jackson (Hampton) won two games for the Lady Pirates last week and finished with a 2.50 ERA in 14 innings of action.
Jennifer Lindsey (FAMU) struck out four of 34 batters and posted a 3.00 ERA in 7.0 innings in a win over Oakland.
Alina Moriarty (NSU) was 2-for-4 with one RBI, two putouts and five assists in a 8-4 non-conference win against North Carolina Central.
Trenece Nash (UMES) posted a double and a RBI while batting .500 against St. Francis (Pa.)
Tiffany Rubin (MSU) batted .455 with five hits, two doubles, one home run and four RBI in 11 appearances for the Lady Bears.
Michelle Saunders (CSU) led the Eagles to a doubleheader sweep of Virginia State with a double and two RBI on two hits in three appearances.
Jamie Schulle (NSU) earned a victory with a 0.00 ERA in 3.2 innings of action against North Carolina Central.
Ashanti Shepard (FAMU) was 7-for-17 with a .411 average to aid the Lady Rattlers to a 2-3 mark last week.
