LYNCHBURG, Va. - Morgan State (0-8) lost 7-0 to Big South foe Liberty Friday evening in non-conference action inside the Sports Racket.
The Flames headed into singles action after sweeping the Bears for the doubles point. The Morgan State No. 1 twosome of Ondre Cargill and Dimitry Borodkin lost on the court 8-3 to Shea Thomas and Egon Samaai of Liberty.
Liberty's Dillon Segur and Jorge Azuero were leading in the No. 2 spot, 7-4, before their match was halted once the Flames clinched the doubles point.
Eric Ward paired up with Jannick Tash and lost in the No. 3 position by an 8-3 decision to Slim Tuus and Stan Vaughn.
Morgan State dropped in straight sets during singles play. Evan Ward was the lone Bear to put up much of a fight on court but lost to Dillon Segur, 7-6, 7-5 at the No. 3 position.
