Freshman guard Ke'Ron Brown had a team-high seven rebounds.

Okoroba gave the Pirates a 57-47 lead with 2:47 to play after converting a 3-point play, but the Hawks answered with a 9-0 run, cutting that lead to 57-56 with 1:00 left after a fastbreak layup from Troy Snyder.
