Savannah State's Arnold Louis was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday.

Hampton earned Rookie of the Week honors while
North Carolina A&T's Austin Witter was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Louis (F, 6-7, 205, Sr., Wauchula, Fla.) recorded back-to-back double double performances as he led Savannah State to a 1-1 conference mark last week. Against Hampton Louis shot 53-percent from the field (8-of-15) and 50-percent from behind the arc (2-of-4) en route to 26 points and 10 rebounds. He also added one assist, one block and one steal in the game. Against South Carolina State Louis scored 14 points and hauled down 15 boards with one assist and one steal.
Powers (G, 5-11, 165, Fr., Williamsburg, Va.) averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals as he led the Pirates to a pair of conference wins last week. Against Coppin State Powers recorded 14 points with three rebounds and five assists. He added 15 points, eight boards and three steals against Savannah State.
Witter (F/G, 195, 6-8, Sr., Princeton Junction, N.J.) collected 26 rebounds, seven blocks and one steal in two conference games last week. In his top performance of the week Witter tallied 14 boards, five blocks and one steal in a 65-55 win over Bethune-Cookman. Offensively he scored 10 points and dished out four assists.

Ian Chiles (MSU) fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds along with two assists and three blocks against Coppin State.
Rashid Gaston (NSU) finished with 13 points, six rebounds, four blocks and one steal in a win over Morgan State.
Brandon Goode (NSU) recorded 17 points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes of play in a 74-56 win over Delaware State.
Jeremy Ingram (NCCU) averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.5 assists as he led the Eagles to a 2-0 conference mark last week.
DeWayne Jackson (MSU) posted back-to-back double digit scoring performances including 18 against Norfolk State and 15 against Coppin State. He also totaled 11 rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Du'Vaughn Maxwell (Hampton) posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds with three assists in a win over Coppin State.
Marques Oliver (DSU) tallied his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 14 rebounds against Norfolk State.
Pendarvis Williams (NSU) scored 22 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out two assists, blocked two shots and stole three passes in a 64-59 win over Morgan State.
