FAIRFAX, Va. -- After a two-week layoff from facing the Delaware Blue Hens, Morgan State was defeated by George Mason, 5-2, and dropped to 0-4 on the spring season. The Patriots won all three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to defeat the Bears at Burke Swim and Racquet Club on Saturday night.
At the top singles position, MSU's Dmitry Borodkin was defeated by Jordan Dyke, 6-2, 6-3. The No. 2 singles match was more competitive as Duk Park-Young pushed Jimmy Davis to the limit before falling 7-6(9-7), 6-2. At No. 5 singles Mason's Aaron Capitel defeated the Eric Ward, 7-5, 6-4 and at No. 6 singles Jannick Tash was defeated by Taylor Sargent, 6-2, ret.
