Student-Athlete Leads 240 Graduates In SSU's 183rd Commencement

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Former Savannah State women’s basketball player Smiljana Cuk led the 2013 fall class of 240 graduates with the highest GPA and was conferred a degree in Computer Science Technology with Summa Cum Laude honors on Saturday, December 7.

Cuk, a Pancevo, Serbia native, played two years as a Lady Tiger and on Saturday was honored for her achievement by presenting the Reflection to her graduating class.

Savannah State’s 183rd Commencement featured 24 student-athletes in all, five of which graduated with honors. Joining the student-athletes was Graduate Assistant Football Coach Aaron High, who received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Tennessee.

The Commencement Address was delivered by Mr. Lawrence Drake II, President and CEO of LEAD.
