Carter and King lead North Carolina A&T to fourth straight win
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Christina Carter scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half and Tracy King added 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists to lead the North Carolina A&T women's basketball team to a 69-60 win over Richmond at Corbett Sports Center Sunday afternoon. The win was the Aggies (4-1) fourth straight.
A&T took a 27-20 lead into the locker room at the half. The Spiders (1-4) cut that lead to three within the first two minutes of the half. After a timeout the Aggies used a strong pressure defense and the inside play of Eboni Ross and Aprill McRae to extend their lead.
A King steal led to a Carter layup to give A&T a 44-30 lead with 12 minutes remaining. Two minutes later, King gave the Aggies their biggest lead of the game with two free throws that made it 48-31.
The Spiders never got any closer than nine the rest of the way. Richmond was led by Genevieve Okoro's 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Aggies are back in action on Dec. 4 when they face Appalachian State at Corbett Sports Center at 6 p.m.

Hawkins, Bankston Nearly Score 30, Not Enough in DSU’s 87-71 Loss at Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. – Despite a game-high 29 points (12-of-18) by forward Tierra Hawkins, and guard Raven Bankston pouring in a career-high 28 points (10-of-21), the Albany Great Danes (5-0) remained undefeated Sunday afternoon with an 87-71 victory over the Delaware State Lady Hornets (1-3).
Shereesha Richardson finished with a team-high 28 points (11-of-14), to along with six rebounds and three steals for Albany, while Margarita Rosario tallied 21 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. Margarita also was perfect from the free throw line (10-of-10) and beyond the arc (3-for-3).
Hawkins finished with five rebounds, three steals and three blocks to go along with her 29 points. Before fouling out, Bankston added two rebounds, three assists and two steals to her output, along with a career-high 28 points.
Coming up, the Lady Hornets will head to the Big Apple to face the Manhattan Jaspers this Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Leonard and Corbo Lead Spartans Past Wofford 67-59
NORFOLK, Va. – Quineshia Leonard and Rae Corbo each scored 14 points to lead Norfolk State past Wofford 67-59 on Sunday afternoon at Joseph Echols Hall. Corbo has scored in double-figures in all four games this season.
The Spartans improve to 2-2 on the season as Wofford falls to 1-3.
NSU finished the game shooting 35.1 percent (26-of-74) on the afternoon. The Spartans shot a season high 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the free-throw line. NSU also outrebounded Wofford, 50-29.
Wofford went 19-of-52 (36.5 percent) from the field and shot 93.3 percent (14-of-15) from the line.
The Spartans will head to San Antonio, Texas on Friday to face UT-Pan American in the UTSA Thanksgiving Tournament. Game time is at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
