TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Florida A&M Rattler cross country team finished exactly where they were ranked for most of the season by the USTFCCCA.
The Rattlers who earned a No.12 ranking for most of the cross country season, reaching a peak of ninth, finished at the No.12 slot in the NCAA Southern regional cross country meet on Nov.15, as hosted by the University of Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Elias Chesire, the reigning MEAC outstanding cross country athlete, helped the Rattlers finish just ahead of the Crimson Tide. Chesire finished in 30:48.01 in the 10K race, which was good for No.27 overall.
Daniel Cheruiyot finished second of the FAMU squad in 31:06.81, which secured the No.41 overall slot. Geoffrey Sambu placed third on the squad, finishing in 31:13.39, placing No.45 overall. Kevin Marindich finished in 31:31.13, placing him No.57 overall. Robyel Kidane placed No.144, coming in in 33:40.20, while Dieumy Duclos finished No.159, in 35:01.88.
