Lady Wildcats fall on the road to Florida Gulf Coast

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats fell to 0-2 on the season after dropping a 71-38 decision to Florida Gulf Coast (2-0), Tuesday night inside the unfriendly confines of Alico Arena.

B-CU hit the court with high intensity from the opening tip, matching the Eagles shot-for-shot and holding two early leads in a single-possession game. However, quick fouls attached to all-around contributors Chastity René Taylor and Terrenisha Hollis, shuffling the lineup and halting B-CU’s momentum.

Jasmine Evans led all B-CU scorers with eight points, while grabbing five boards, sharing rebound-leading honors with Shakeyia Colyer and Taylor Houston. Kayla Crawford also had six points in the loss.
