SC State Volleyball Falls to Charleston Southern in Five Sets

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The SC State women's volleyball fell to Charleston Southern, 3-2 (19-25, 25-13, 25-15, 19-25, 15-5), in its final non-conference match of the season.  The Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-20 overall while Charleston Southern improved to 6-19 on the season.

SC State was led by Desire Waller with a match-high 29 kills (.344 hitting percentage).  Waller recorded a double-double as she picked up 13 digs in the match.  Melanie Williams had a match-high 44 set assists while Victoria Ferguson picked up a match-high 15 digs in the loss.

Charleston Southern was led by Erin Lavenice with 14 kills.  The Buccaneers had three players to record double-digit kills as Siraya Windsor had 13 and Katrina Houston had 11.  Windsor and Taylor Allman had 13 digs each in the match.
