FAMU repeats as MEAC Women?s Cross Country Champion

PRINCESS ANNE, Md., October 26, 2013 – Florida A&M repeated as the 2013 Mid-Eastern Conference (MEAC)  Women’s Cross Country  champion on Saturday morning at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Florida A&M scored 52 points to win its sixth overall MEAC title. The Lady Rattlers averaged a time of 18:54.70 on the 5K course.

Morgan State’s Ashley Seymour was named Outstanding Performer, finishing first, with a time of 18:10.00.

Darlene Moore, of Florida A&M, was named Outstanding Coaching for the women for the second consecutive year.

Second-place honors went to Morgan State with 57 total points. Hampton (73), Norfolk State (84) and Maryland Eastern Shore (163) completed the top-five finishes.
