NORFOLK, Va., October 23, 2013 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2013 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country All-Academic honorees, recognizing 81 student-athletes, from the conference’s 13-member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2012-2013 school year. The MEAC recognizes student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, including sophomores to seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been a resident at the institution for at least one year.

“I commend the men’s and women’s cross country student-athletes who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2012-2013 academic school year,” said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “In addition to recognizing the student-athletes accomplishments, I also applaud the athletic academic support staff and personnel and coaching staffs who contributed to the academic triumphs of these student athletes. Our institutions, coaches and support staffs are committed to the academic success of our student-athletes.”
