MEAC Announces Bowling Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., October 22, 2013 – Delaware State junior Briana Bush was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Bush (5-8, Jr., Waldorf, Md.) averaged 210.4 with a 1,052 total pinfall at the Kutztown Fall Classic. Bush recorded three 200-plus games out of five, including 225 against Penn State-Altoona.

Other Top Performers: 

Thea Aspiras (NSU
) finished with a 19.7 Baker frame average, and named to All-Tournament Team at Kutztown Fall Classic.

Carrie Hopkinson (FAMU) bowled a team-high 949 in five matches and led the Lady Rattlers in total pinfall in three of the five matches.

Loren Johnson (CSU) rolled a 234 in a victory over Delaware State at the Kutztown Fall Classic.

Ivory Miles (BCU) led the Wildcats with a 204.0 team average and a 190.0 Baker game average at the Sugar Bowl Collegiate Invitational.
