Evan Ward and
Mi'Kola Cooper received Men's and Women's Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively.
Young-Park (So., Silver Spring, Md.) defeated Delaware's Mike Furr (7-5-6-4) at the number three position. He also teamed up with Jannick Tack to capture the number three doubles win over Jason Derene and Alex Sweet (8-3).
Iakovelva (Sr., Vladivostok, Russia) earned Morgan State's win of the match following a6-0, 6-2 defeat of Delaware's Dorothy Safron at the number one single position.
Ward (Fr.,Upper Marlboro, Md. ) was 1-0 in singles action at the number four spot against Delaware. The rookie won in two sets (6-3, 6-4) against Jason Derene. He also won in doubles play 8-3.
Cooper (Fr. North Charleston, S.C.) partnered with teammate Chelsi Russell to earn a doubles victory over Delaware's team of Dorothy Safron and Carmen Lai (8-4).
Other Top Performances:
Peter Rastromer-Pello (NSU) defeated Longwood's Edward Becker in singles action 6-4,6-4.
Dzmitry Zyhmantovich (NSU) topped East Carolina's John Schmitt in three sets at the number two singles position last week.
