After a slow start, the Aggies (8-5) were able to make some key runs against the Seahawks (1-10) en route to the victory.

In the second half, the Aggies started things off with a 5-0 run to build up a small cushion over the Seahawks. A 3-pointer by Kelva Atkins brought UNCW within one at 32-33. The Seahawks kept within striking distance, keeping it a one-possession game, until A&T put together another run. Eboni Ross provided four straight points to make it a 41-38 game with 11:06 left. But the Seahawks were not about to give up. A fastbreak layup by Karneshia Garrett pulled UNCW back within three at 48-45 with just over three minutes left. A layup by Jessica Freeman, who ended the game with a team-best 14 points, made it a 48-47 game with 2:55 left. The Aggies responded as Nazario sank a 3-pointer immediately out of the timeout, and A&T went 5-0 to close out the game.
