MEAC Announces Bowling Weekly Honors

University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Valentina Collazos was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.  

Collazos (5-2, Sr., Cali, Columbia) averaged a 215.2 in five out of six team games played, including a career high 236 in a team game win over Cheyney at the Kutztown Invite. Collazos' efforts led the Lady Hawks to a 14-1 record to win the event for the second straight year. She was also a part of the five-some that bowled a perfect 300 in a baker play match. 

Other Top Performers:

Thea Aspiras (NSU) led the Spartans to a  10-5 record at the Kutztown Invite, with Aspiras averaging a 204.0 in team play.

Staci Hilliard (B-CU) was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Kutztown Invite after averaging a 210.4.

Katherine Jones (FAMU) averaged a 212.0 at the Kutztown Invite, bowling a season high 241 in the Lady Rattlers' win over St. Francis in team play.

Atoya Leatherbury (MSU) totaled 1,069 pins and a 178.1 average in team play at the Kutztown Invite.
