Saadia Doyle was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore's
Ashleigh Claybrooks earned Rookie of the Week honors, while South Carolina State's
Persephone Goodwin earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Doyle (Guard, 6-0, Sr., Atlanta, Ga.) averaged 25.5 points and 8.5 rebounds to guide the Lady Bison in victories over North Carolina Central and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Against North Carolina Central, she posted 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals. She followed with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds against NJIT. For the week, Doyle shot 91-percent from the floor (20-of-22) and 79-percent from the charity stripe (11-of-14).
Claybrooks (Forward, 6-0, r-Fr., Manassas, Va.) scored 12 points, pulled down six rebounds and blocked one shot against Florida A&M. In 13 minutes of action, Claybrooks was 5-of-7 from the floor and perfect (2-of-2) from the free-throw line.
Goodwin (Center, 6-2, Fr., Decatur, Ga.) grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked 11 shots in two Lady Bulldog games last week. Against Florida A&M, she recorded a career-high six blocks.

Olivia Allen (Hampton) combined for 44 points, six rebounds and five assists in two victories.
Keiara Avant (Hampton) recorded her 12th double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-41 win over Morgan State.
JaQuayla Berry (NCAT) was one rebound shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds in a 90-73 win over Morgan State.
Larissa Carter (CSU) averaged a double-double of 11.5 points and 10.5 rebounds against Hampton and North Carolina Central.
Ashley Clark (SCSU) averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds to aid the Lady Bulldogs to a 1-1 record last week.
Cheyenne Curley-Payne (Howard) totaled 14 points, 10 rebounds and six rebounds in two games for the Lady Bison.
Moneshia Davis (MSU) totaled 11 points, 16 rebounds and six assists in two games for the Lady Bears.
Tisha Dixon (NCCU) combined for 15 points, 24 rebounds, four blocks and two steals against Howard and Coppin State.
Kianna D'Oliveira (DSU) scored 12 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks in an overtime win against Bethune-Cookman.
Jamie Foreman (FAMU) posted 10 points and 15 rebounds in a win over South Carolina State.
Rachel Gordon (NSU) tallied her third double-double of the year with 25 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Morgan State.
Jasmine Grice (FAMU) totaled 49 points, shooting 50-percent from the floor (18-of-36) and 71-percent from behind the arc (5-of-7), against South Carolina State and Maryland Eastern Shore.
