Anggie Ramirez was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Ramirez (5-7, Sr., Bogota, Columbia) led the Lady Hawks to a second place overall finish at the Saint Francis New Year's Knockdown. Ramirez averaged a 227.33 and knocked down 1,364 total pinfall to earn Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team honors. As a team, UMES finished second on day one of team games and first on day two of baker games for an 8-4 record.
Other Top Performers:
Staci Hilliard (B-CU) averaged a 210.4 and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Frederick E. Underwood Tournament. She led the Lady Wildcats to a 5-3 mark in baker matches and a 5-0 mark in team play, earning a third-place team finish.
Emily Strombeck (NCAT) placed sixth overall with 1,022 total pins and an average of 204.4 at the Frederick E. Underwood Tournament. She helped the Lady Aggies go 5-0 in baker play, 3-2 in team match play, and 2-1 in bracket competition for a second-place finish.
