Latitia Salley were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Men's and Women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Chesire (So., Eldoret, Kenya) finished second with a time of 26:23.26 on the 8K course at the USF Invitational. Chesire's time guided the Rattlers to a first place finish out of nine teams and leads the MEAC on an 8K course this season.
Salley (Jr., Linden, N.J.) won the Delaware State Invitational with a time of 19:19.09. Salley's time leads the MEAC on a 5K course and paced the Lady Hawks to a top five finish.
Other Top Performers:
Amber Brooks (NCCU) won the NCCU/NCAT relay with a time of 13:49.20 on the 4K course.
Zavior Brown (UMES) was seventh at the Delaware State Invitational in 16:39.51.
Cynthia Chelelgo (FAMU) won the Albany State Invitational with a time of 24:13.20.
Irene Cherubet (CSU) was the Eagles top finisher at the Delaware State Invitational with a sixth place finish (20:01.15).
Xavier Fraction (Hampton) paced the Pirates with a time of 16:55.11 at the Delaware State Invitational.
Orane Morais (NCCU) was the third runner to cross the finish line in a time of 16:45.25 to aid the Eagles to a first-place finish at the NCCU/NCAT Relay meet.
Terrell Oliver (DSU) finished among the top ten at the Delaware State Invitational with a time of 16:45.62.
Patrice Rowe (MSU) guided the Lady Bears to a second place finish at the Delaware State Invitational with an individual time of 19:34.07.
Christian Smooth (MSU) placed third overall in a time of 15:45.97 at the Delaware State Invitational.
Devyn Thompson (Hampton) was second in 19:24.55 at the Delaware State Invitational.
T'nay Williams (DSU) paced the Lady Hornets with a top 15 finish at the Delaware State Invitational.
